Turning Points, 27th International Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Conference in Ghent, Belgium
The 27th International Conference on Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, Turning Points, takes place from Friday 28 October until Sunday 30 October 2016, in Ghent, Belgium.
The Turning Points conference is being organised by the International Federation for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (IF), in close cooperation with the Flemish Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (VSH), Ghent University, and the Spina Bifida team of Ghent University Hospital.
Scientific and medical experts and life experience experts with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus will look back at milestones that have been achieved and forward towards turning points that still need to be achieved in the areas of prevention and healthcare.
On Friday 28 October we will launch the IF Global Prevention Initiative to highlight actions which improve the primary prevention of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus through worldwide cooperation.
In the area of care, special attention will be placed on transition of care from childhood to adulthood with Spina Bifida during the conference.
Researchers, medical practitioners and allied professions, policy makers, campaigners, representative organisations and individuals whose life story involves Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus are warmly welcomed!
