February 2015 – Help Spread the Word: NACCHO’s Health & Disability Fellowship
NACCHO is in search of a new Health & Disability Fellow. Last year, the Health & Disability Workgroup played an important role in recruiting the Health & Disability fellows. If you could please pass this information along and help NACCHO once again in our fellowship recruitment efforts, it would be very much appreciated.
Below is a description of the fellowship position:
NACCHO has an immediate opening for a Health and Disability fellow. This is a paid internship to start as soon as possible and run through June 30, 2015. The fellow will work with the health and disability project team to promote disability inclusion, awareness, and education, to the public health workforce. Fellows will be involved in a number of activities, including: developing resources, guides, toolkits, and trainings; developing and conducting research studies; and developing publications for dissemination, among other activities. The fellowship includes a stipend not to exceed $3,000. The fellow will be housed at either the NACCHO headquarters in Washington, D.C., or may work remotely from their graduate school facility.
